Ukraine, Trump’s Chaos, and a Totally Predictable Shitshow

A breakdown of Trump’s latest “peace plan,” media malpractice, breaking legal news — and a little real-life chaos from my day, too.

In today’s live, I showed up a little late — doctor’s appointments, parenting, caregiving, the whole sandwich-generation circus — but once we got rolling, we dove straight into the big story: Trump’s latest incoherent attempt to strong-arm Ukraine into accepting a Russian-written “peace plan.” I talked about the predictable pattern we’ve seen over and over: Putin dangles a fake carrot, Trump chases it like a gold-plated bloodhound, Zelensky humors him because he needs U.S. support, and Russia attacks Ukraine anyway to embarrass us. Same script, different day.

We also broke down how the mainstream media keeps normalizing this nonsense with headlines that read like they’re reporting from an alternate universe. Instead of acknowledging that our allies are openly skeptical and this “progress” is a PR stunt, they keep pretending Trump is behaving like a normal statesman. Spoiler: he’s not.

Then, mid-stream, we got breaking news: a federal judge dismissed the criminal cases against James Comey and Letitia James because Lindsey Halligan — Trump’s hand-picked loyalist — was unlawfully appointed. Huge story, huge embarrassment for Team Retribution.

And of course, because it’s me, we also talked streaming setups, the thankful feast at my kid’s school, and everything else life threw at us today.
