In this Christmas Eve-day live, I break down what has become one of the most humiliating and revealing debacles of the Trump administration: the staggeringly incompetent release of the Epstein files. What was promised as transparency has instead devolved into a rolling clusterfuck of redactions, disappearing documents, contradictory timelines, and outright gaslighting. The administration went from claiming the release would take “weeks,” to dumping partially redacted files, to quietly pulling documents, reposting them, and now insisting the whole thing will magically be finished “next week.”
Along the way, the Department of Justice managed to torch its own credibility—warning the public not to believe what they’re reading while insisting it’s releasing the files in the name of transparency. Even more alarming, the White House has now taken control of the DOJ’s messaging on X, turning what should be an independent law enforcement agency into yet another rapid-response propaganda arm.
I also unpack the reporting around the alleged Epstein letter to Larry Nassar, the administration’s rushed attempt to label it fake, and CNN’s subsequent reporting that undermines that claim. Layered on top of this is the increasingly absurd excuse-making—from alleged “backdoor hacks” to mysteriously pre-redacted documents—all of it pointing to a DOJ more focused on protecting Trump than telling the truth.
This isn’t just about Epstein. It’s about institutional decay, public deception, and a government that no longer even pretends to be competent.
