The DOJ Wants to Keep Epstein’s Friends in the Dark. NBC Says: Hell no!
Two alleged Epstein co-conspirators got six-figure payouts. NBC wants their names unsealed, while the Justice Department is fighting to keep them secret.
Trump’s DOJ is protecting Jeffrey Epstein’s cronies again — and frankly, it’s fucking outrageous.
NBC News reported yesterday that they want a federal judge to unseal the names of two people tied to Jeffrey Epstein, while the Justice Department is bending over backward to keep those names secret.
For a change, a major US news outlet is fighting for transparency while our own government is scrambling to keep in the dark.
What’s the story?
In 2018, after Epstein’s sweetheart plea deal was back in the spotlight he wired $100,000 to one associate and $250,000 to another. Prosecutors flagged it at the time, saying Epstein might be paying off potential witnesses. These weren’t just random friends — they were listed as “co-conspirators.” Yet because of that ridiculous plea deal, they got immunity.
Now, NBC News is saying: enough. The guy’s dead, the criminal case is closed, and the public has every right to know who took Epstein’s money and why. The DOJ’s response? Nope. Can’t do it. Privacy rights. Don’t want to “unfairly tarnish” reputations. Please. If you’re connected to Epstein, your reputation is already fucked.
Both of these unnamed people filed objections to having their identities revealed, which only makes us want to know their names more. If you’ve got nothing to hide, you don’t fight this hard to stay in the shadows.
Judge Richard Berman is now stuck in the middle of this tug-of-war: truth versus cover-up, the rule of law versus lawlessness. And in the end, this case is about more than Epstein. It’s about whether powerful people, and their friends, get to stay protected forever.
The DOJ isn’t doing this to defend “privacy.” They’re doing it to protect power. They’re doing it to protect the people who pretend to be Donald’s friends. They’re doing it to protect Donald.
