Recorded Live: Kristi Noem refuses to retract the lie

Jamie Raskin and House Democrats confront the DHS secretary over the Minneapolis ICE killings — and she still won’t say the words.

Today’s House Judiciary hearing exposed something deeper than partisan spin — it revealed a refusal to acknowledge basic truth.

Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem was pressed repeatedly about the ICE killings of two American citizens in Minneapolis, Renee Goode and Alex Pretti. On video, Noem previously labeled both of them “domestic terrorists.” Under questioning from Jamie Raskin, she was given multiple opportunities to correct the record. She declined every time.

Raskin methodically walked through the facts, even noting that Noem’s own acting ICE director had walked back the terrorism claim. Still, she hid behind “ongoing investigations.” No apology. No retraction. No accountability.

Republicans, led by Chairman Jim Jordan, attempted to reframe the hearing around sanctuary cities and “the worst of the worst.” But Democrats presented video evidence, court findings, and testimony suggesting court order violations, misleading statements, and a disturbing pattern of escalation.

The hearing wasn’t just about immigration enforcement. It was about power, propaganda, and whether this administration can admit error — even when Americans are dead.
