Paramount is trying to enter a corporate merger with Skydance. Trump, once again weaponizing office of the Presidency, will not allow the administration to approve that merger unless Paramount bribes him. Paramount will pay the bribe.
Trump sued Paramout because he’s still mad at 60 Minutes. Paramout owns 60 Minutes. The idiot is mad because he claims that 60 Minutes edited a Kamala Harris campaign interview. Trump says that the interview was edited to benefit Harris because she’s dumb and because she can’t speak. In reality, that’s just another bit of projection. Donald is dumb and he can’t speak.
Also, Donald was afraid of 60 Minutes. He declined an interview. Any 60 Minutes anchor would have exposed Trump as the halfwit that America already knows he is.
When Trump is afraid of someone, he sues them.
Paramount executives should have been able to exhibit moderate courage, baseline self respect, minimal patriotism and toddler-level decency. They could not. They should have been able to put the needs of nation in front of professional self interests. They could not.
To the extent that I can, I will boycott Paramout media projects. I expect many others will as well.
